An exploration in the use of classic algorithms to create textures. The video on the left shows a Reaction Diffusion and the video at the top of the page an implementation of the Rayleigh Taylor Instability algorithm. Both algorithms work on the principle of two liquids interacting. In each case one of the liquids is used as a variable for a depth map to offset a surface making the pattern that arises from the complex interactions between the liquids applicable as a 3D texture.
